Located directly across the street from Tusculum University and about ten minutes from the Walters State Niswonger Campus, Tusculum Baptist Church (TBC) loves welcoming college students and young adults into our church community. Through SPOT, service opportunities, and connections with our local colleges, students can build friendships, grow in their faith, and find a place to belong. You do not have to be enrolled in college to participate!

SPOT: Students Partake on Thursdays

Hungry for something more? There’s always a SPOT for you at the table.

SPOT brings college students and young adults together for food, fellowship, and biblical teaching during the fall and spring semesters. The main gathering begins Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. with a meal, fellowship, and guest speaker. Want to come early? Join us for games and fellowship beginning at 7:00 p.m.

SPOT typically begins a few weeks into each semester and does not meet when Tusculum University is not in session, including fall break, spring break, and other university closures. Tusculum students can earn Mission Engagement credit for attending. Just be sure to sign in before you leave!

Connecting with Our College Community

With Tusculum University right across the street, the TBC community looks for ways to love and serve our neighbors on campus. You’ll regularly see Jon and Justin during chapel. Interested in joining Tusculum’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)? Pastor Jon leads FCA on Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. in the Meen Center. Throughout the year, you’ll also find members of our church taking part in special campus events and gathering to cheer on Pioneer Athletics.

On Thanksgiving, TBC partners with local barbershop TaylorMade Grooming Lounge to provide a warm meal and loving community for Tusculum students who aren’t able to travel home for the holiday.

Serving Together

Service is another important part of our College Ministry. SPOT students take part in a community service project each semester, such as packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. During Tusculum University’s annual Nettie Day, students turn the tables and serve at TBC as part of the university’s community-wide day of service.

More Ways to Connect

College students and young adults are always invited to join us for Sunday morning worship and Sunday School, as well as other opportunities to connect and serve throughout TBC.

Whether you live in, near, or are just visiting the Greeneville area, we’d love to welcome you to the TBC community!
